Happy Fall Everyone . . .

Family day . . . and after a breakfast of crumpets and jam, peaches and coffee (for the big kids) and juice (for the little kids), daddy went outside to clean up the leaves. The kids were so eager to help, they went out in their pajamas. Chelsea did put on water shoes, but Jaime was in barefeet. They did not last long outside. It is so nice to have the patio clean and leaf free, but those leaves just keep coming. We are very greatful for the clear, crisp, cool, dry fall days though as we know the alternative can be very wet. After we clean up the leaves, we are heading out to find some family fun. Halloween Night Sky

At the end of the fireworks on Halloween night, there was one final amazing flash of light in the sky.

The girls rode their bikes over the the Dahlia Garden and picked out a couple bouquets of flowers to share with you. Enjoy everyone . . .

Pumpkin Patch

The kids enjoyed a day at Laity Farm where there were alot of fun activities, including of course, picking out the perfect pumpkins.

Chelsea is thankful . . .

Chelsea is thankful for hampsters and our house. Jaime adds she is thankful for all animals, especially muscrats.

Jaime is thankful for her dog because he is cute and soft. She is also thankful for all animals, including cats, and she is thanful for her family.

We started the day with pumkin pancakes for breakfast, and then went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins for halloween. It was alot of fun. The kids each picked out a pumpkin and Jaime could not resist picking some corn. They each had a pony ride on the way in, and then on the way out we fed the pony our apples. It was a beautiful family day.

Getting Ready for Halloween

We spent the day cooking pumpkins, roasting the seeds, carving Jack-o-lanterns and getting ready for halloween. The kids are very excited. Not only did my 5 year old daughter pick out her own pumpkin at the pumkin patch, and carry it out herself, but she also desinged her own jack-o-lantern this year. She drew a baby pumpkin with only one tooth. It is adorable. Her daddy carved it for her.
